The working principle of 400W sodium thallium lamp is as follows: after the power supply is connected, the current flows through the heating coil and bimetallic sheet, so that the bimetallic sheet is heated, bent and separated from the static contact, so as to generate a high-voltage pulse, which makes the lamp discharge and ignite.

点燃后，放电的热量使双金属片一直保持弯曲，与静触点分开，钠铊铟灯进人稳定的工作状态。1000W的钠铊铟灯须加专门的触发器。
After ignition, the heat of the discharge keeps the bimetallic sheet bent all the time, separated from the static contact, and the natrium thallium indium lamp enters into a stable working state. 1000W sodium thallium indium lamp shall be equipped with special trigger.
金属卤化物灯安装使用时应注意：灯的外玻璃壳温度较高，配用灯具时应考虑散热，而且灯管必须与相应的镇流器配合使用。无外玻壳的金属卤化物灯，由于紫外线辐射较强，灯具应加玻璃罩。若无玻璃罩时，灯的悬挂高度不应低于14米，以防止紫外线灼伤眼睛和皮肤。
Attention shall be paid to the installation and use of metal halide lamp: the temperature of the outer glass shell of the lamp is high, heat dissipation shall be considered when using the lamp, and the lamp tube must be used with the corresponding ballast. For metal halide lamp without outer glass shell, due to strong ultraviolet radiation, the lamp shall be equipped with glass cover. If there is no glass cover, the hanging height of the lamp shall not be less than 14m to prevent ultraviolet rays from burning eyes and skin.
